From time to time I make videos that I post on the Internet. Most of the time I make them for my own occasional amusement or to enter in contests but I also occasionally shoot professional-looking videos (or I try to be more professional about making them) for my church's YouTube channel. Below are a few samples of my work. If you wish to see more of my videos, you can check out my personal YouTube channel (twistedunicorn) or my church's YouTube channel (pbuuc).

The Scream of Nadya Suleman was a slideshow of my acrylic painting of the same title with added sound effects. The painting and video were both based on the controversial story of Nadya Suleman, the woman who gave birth to the world's first surviving set of octuplets.

This is a video I did to promote my exhibition space during the month-long Artomatic 2009 in Washington, DC.

This is what my exhibition space looked like on "Meet the Artists" night during Artomatic 2009 in Washington, DC.

Pop Star Peepney Pursued By The Peeperazzi is a diorama that I entered in the 2009 Peeps diorama contest that was sponsored by The Washington Post. It was based on a bizarre period in Britney Spears' life from late 1996-early 2008 (when her family seized legal control of her estate and she was briefly sent to a hospital psychiatric ward) where she spent many late nights doing mudane things like going to Starbucks, pumping gas, or shopping at Rite Aid while throngs of paparazzi took pictures. It didn't win or make honorable mention.

Here is a slideshow of photographs that I used for my Day of the Dead art project that I exhibited in Art Outlet's Ofrenda show that took place in Washington, DC from October 31-November 1, 2008.

Crissy and Velvet: The Animation was a bit of stop-motion animation I did while I was playing around with both Bonix iStopMotion and Apple GarageBand software. The dolls in the animation are two vintage 1970's growing-hair dolls known as Crissy (the taller dark-haired one) and Velvet (the shorter platinum-haired one).

Peep Floyd is a diorama that I entered in the 2008 Peeps diorama contest that was sponsored by The Washington Post. It was based on a typical Pink Floyd concert and the biggest challenge I faced was recreating their high-tech stage effects for something as low-tech as a diorama. The diorama didn't win or make honorable mention but I displayed the diorama in my exhibition space during the month-long Artomatic 2008 in Washington, DC.

A Day in the Lives of Two Dolls is an experimental video I did where I filmed two Jun Planning dolls (the female is a Pullip Latte and the male is a Namu Trunk) for a few seconds every hour over a 12-hour period.

A Day in the Life of a Blythe Doll is a follow up to the above movie, A Day in the Lives of Two Dolls. In the previous movie I had both dolls in my backyard, which faces a wooded area so they were both in the shade throughout the day. A few weeks later I decided to try the same experiment again, this time with a Blythe doll. I made a few changes: I placed the doll in the side yard of my home, which gets much more sunshine than in the back. I also changed the color and direction of her eyes (which is done by pulling a string attached to the doll) every time I shot more footage, which showed an animated-like movement to the doll. The only thing that remained the same was that I shot the doll for a few seconds every hour over a 12-hour period. In this video, you can see the various lighting effects caused by the sun's position in the sky throughout the course of the day.

Dolls Customized by Kim is a QuickTime movie featuring a photo-montage of some of the dolls that I've customized. I originally created this as an entry in the The 100 Second Film Festival in 2005.
