Classic Art Worn as Either Pins or Necklace Pendants (Shrinky Dinks)

It's a necklace. It's a pin. It's BOTH!!! The pieces on this page are based on classic works of art (or art that I personally feel should be classic). Some of the art is well-known while others are more obscure or forgotten but deserves to be resurrected in the public eye. I digitized the artwork (either by digital camera or scanner), edited it in Photoshop, printed it out on Shrinky Dink paper that has been specially coated for ink jet printers, punched a hole in the top for a necklace loop, baked the item for anywhere between 3-5 minutes, then glued a pin backing on the back. Regardless of whether you decide to wear it as a necklace or as a pin, it's the ultimate in wearable art!

Here are the Shrinky Dinks based on classic art that I've created in the past. Even though I may make more than one copy of a design, no two of my necklaces are ever exactly alike (especially given the variations in the polymer clay frames), which is a definite sign that this was not mass-produced by a machine in a Third World sweatshop factory.

Approximate size is 2 inches x 2 inches (5 cm x 5 cm). Click on any picture to see a larger version open up in a new window. If you wish to purchase any handcrafted items from me, visit my online store.
