September 13, 2007: Come and see me and my dolls in person at the Crafty Bastards Festival in Washington, DC on September 30! For more details and up-to-the-minute news on my appearance, see the blog.
June 27, 2007: Now that the spring arts and craft shows are over for me, I'm going to spend the summer focusing on rehabilitating some more thrift store Barbies for sale at future shows. For my most recent doll customizations/rehabilitations, see the doll blog.
April 17, 2007: At last here are some positive news regarding me and this site. First of all, I finally got my new doll blog up and running on a new server where I can control the blog comments.
Second, I am currently participating in a five-week art event known as Artomatic. I have two of my customized dolls being displayed in a shadow box frame and they will be for sale during the event. I also have two framed photographs of my Asian ball-jointed dolls that will also be for sale. In addition, I have three zines that are available for sale as well for the low price of $2 each. Two of them are photo books of my Asian ball-jointed dolls (Dolls Having Fun, which is suitable for all ages, and Dolls Gone Wild, which is intended for mature audiences) while the third is based of a few photographs that I shot during a trip to New York City a few months ago. (That one has absolutely nothing to do with dolls.)
Third, I'm having a table at The Big Art Show at the Rock and Roll Hotel in Washington, DC on April 28, where I'll be selling dolls, jewelry, artwork, and more!
And last but not least, I will have a table at the Greenbelt Green Man Festival from May 12-13.
I'm looking into participating in other local shows this spring so I will update this site as I confirm other dates.
March 12, 2007: I've finally uploaded all the photos of my new Little Soul Doll Kimmy. I also forgot to mention that I uploaded new photos of an outfit for my Volks Dollfie Dream that I sewed from a pattern published in Haute Doll magazine. Recently I took up knitting and I decided to try knitting a doll outfit for my Soom Mini-Gem Uyoo. I'll admit that it's not the greatest knitted doll dress in the world but it's not bad for a first effort and I liked the shimmering effect that the metallic yarn had on the dress. You can view the results here. I'm still working on getting a new doll blog up and running but I'm the only person who's working on this site and I'm busy pursuing all sorts of opportunities on the side plus I've been diverted by a few out-of-town trips that I had to go on. Please be patient, I will have a new doll blog up as soon as possible.
February 23, 2007: I would like to wish everyone a belated Happy Valentine's Day and a Happy Lunar New Year. (It's the Year of the Boar now!) I had to shut down much of my blog due to reasons that I wrote in the one entry that I currently have remaining. (The short version was that I grew tired of people from The Den of Demons and Cosplay Fucks forums mining my blog looking for source of potential wankerage that they could use to taunt me and other people.) I did manage to re-post two of the blog entries that I had briefly online before I yanked much of the blog on this site. One is a cute photo commemorating the Lunar New Year and the other is a page of photos from the doll meet-up events I attended at the Katsucon anime convention in Washington, DC. I also posted photos of my new Ellowyne Wilde doll.
January 18, 2007: I would like to wish a belated Happy New Year's to everyone. I added some new photos in the Travels With Dolls section that's located in the Doll Gallery. There will be yet another chance to meet me in person.
My artwork has been accepted into another local art show called "Flux: An Art Sensory Overload", which will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Danville Body Shop, 1415 N. Danville Street, Arlington, Virginia. It will be a one-day event and there will be live acts (including music, fire dancing, and improv) and a few art raffles where you can win original works of art by some of the participating artists.
I will try to show up at some point, although I can't really guarantee what time it'll be. I may even slip in one of the smaller dolls in my purse in case someone comes up to me and recognizes me from this site (although I can't guarantee that I'll remember to do it). Even if you don't see me in person, my artwork will be on display for you to view.
