Dolls

The Red and White Flower Fairy

Technical Specs:

Type of Doll:Barbie-sized doll that was purchased used from a thrift store. The doll may potentially be a Jasmine doll from the Disney film Aladdin since she bears a strong resemblance to Jasmine. However, she was found nude so there is no way of knowing for sure.
Size: 29 cm/11.5 inches
Hair:Black
Eyes: Brown
Lips: Red
Outfit Description:Wears an outfit that I designed using suggestions from Tina Casey's book Fabulous Fashion Doll Clothing You Can Make. Fairy wings were made out of Crayola Model Magic then glued on the outfit. The wings were embellished with red acrylic paint and faceted red beads. Crayola Model Magic was also used to make the bracelets that she wears on each wrists, the shoes, the shoulder accents, and the waist accent. I attached a larger faceted red bead above the waist accent.

Date I Finished Customizing This Doll: June 22, 2009

Here is what this doll looked like when I first bought her from the thrift store.

Here's the back of the doll.

Here is the doll after her makeover.

Close-up of her torso. I used Crayola Model Magic for the fairy wings, the bracelets, the shoulder accents, and the larger waist accent. I used faceted red beads as accents on the fairy wings and I attached a single red bead just above the waist accent.

Close-up of her shoes, which I created out of Crayola Model Magic.

Close-up of one of her bracelets, which I created out of Crayola Model Magic.
