The Camoflague Fairy

This doll originally started off as a Ken doll that I purchased new mainly because I've recently purchased a Soul Doll Kimmy and I needed some clothes that would fit him. So I took this doll's outfit for the other doll and converted this doll into a male fairy doll.

Technical Specs:

Type of Doll: Ken doll that was purchased from a local toy store.
Size: 29 cm/12 inches
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Lips: Light pink
Outfit Description: Wears an outfit that I improvised using suggestions from Tina Casey's book Fabulous Fashion Doll Clothing You Can Make. Fairy wings were made out of polymer clay (with details painted with acrylic paint) then glued on the outfit. Shoulder accents were made out of polymer clay then glued on the shirt.

Here is what this doll looked like when I first bought him from the toy store. He was originally a Ken doll dressed as a fairy tale prince.

Here is the doll after his first makeover. I gave his original outfit to my Soul Doll Kimmy but I left the boots on this doll because Kimmy's feet are smaller in size than Ken's. I actually found printed camoflague felt at a local Michael's Arts & Crafts, so I used it to make this doll's outfit.

Fairy ears were made out of air-drying clay before being attached to the doll's head.

The ears were painted in flesh color once the clay dried.

When this doll failed to sell, I gave him a second makeover where I removed his fairy ears.

The second time was the charm since I sold this doll.
