The Blue and Pink Fairy 4

Technical Specs:

Type of Doll: Barbie that was purchased used from a thrift store.
Size: 29 cm/11.5 inches
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Lips: The paint on the lips and teeth had completely faded away when I bought the doll. I re-painted the teeth white and the lips dark pink.
Outfit Description: Wears a blue and pink dress that came with the doll. I added fancy ribbon trim at the bottom of the dress and a polymer clay circle accent at the waist. Fairy wings were made out of polymer clay (with details painted with acrylic paint) then glued on the outfit.

Here is what this doll looked like when I first bought her from the thrift store. If you look close enough at her face, you would see that the paint was completely faded from her mouth.

Here is a back view of the doll as she originally looked.

Here is the doll after her first makeover. I re-painted her mouth and added an accent around her waist and trim at the bottom of the dress. I also undid her ponytail (which was a bit messy) in order to let her hair fall down her back.

Fairy ears were made out of air-drying clay before being attached to the doll's head.

The ears were painted in flesh color once the clay dried.

After displaying her in a few craft shows, this doll failed to sell. I decided to remove the fairy ears from her head in order to make her look more attractive to potential buyers.
