I bought Little Bo Peep through the Franklin Mint back in the late 1980's because her face looked so expressive in the ads that I saw in numerous magazines. I remember that I paid six monthly installments of $29.95 before she officially became my doll. Of course for the next several years my mailbox was innundated with direct mail pieces from the Franklin Mint begging me to buy a bunch of other porcelain dolls (ranging from Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind to mythical characters like Morgan le Fay) but it was worth the aggravation to get Little Bo Peep.
Little Bo Peep came with her own doll stand (that has the official Franklin Mint seal at the bottom) and her bonnet is removable. She has adorable blond curls and she has that sad look of a child who has lost something precious (like her sheep).
