Purple Hanbok/Red Dangui

This was my first attempt at making a traditional Korean outfit.

Type of Doll This Outfit Fits: 1/6 scale doll (11-12 inches/29 cm).
Pattern It's Based On: Affordable Designs' Super Dollfie-sized hanbok and dangui pattern. I reduced the pattern by 50% in order to have it fit a 1/6 scale doll.
Outfit Description: The hanbok (traditional Korean dress) is made out of a sparkly stretchy purple fabric. Ribbon accents with beads at the end are placed at the hanbok's collar and waist. The dangui (traditional Korean jacket that's usually worn with the hanbok) is made out of cotton red fabric that has a gradiated black scalloped pattern.
Date I Finished Work on It: March 30, 2006

This outfit is modeled in the photos by a Soom Mini-Gem Uyoo. Click on any photo below to see a larger version of the same photo open in a new window.
