Purple Gothic

I've always wanted an actual Gothic Lolita outfit for my Volks Dollfie Dream but many such outfits in her size that I found on the Internet were either sold out, very expensive, or both. I decided to make such an outfit myself when I purchased a pattern off eBay from a small business known as The Patchwork Pansy.

Type of Doll This Outfit Fits: 1/3 scale doll (22-24 inches/60 cm).
Pattern It's Based On: The Patchwork Pansy's "Sweet Lolita" outfit.
Outfit Description: The dress and cap were hand-sewn using a purple fabric that had a pattern of moons and stars done in black velvet. The cap and the top half of the dress were outlined in one kind of lace that was light purple in color and had small rhinestone studs. The bottom of both the dress and the half-slip were outlined in a different kind of lace that was dyed purple (using a mix of purple acrylic paint and water). The half-slip and stockings were hand-sewn using a thin glittering spandex material.
Date I Finished Work on It: November 18, 2005
