Dolls

Valentine Lolita

Type of Doll This Outfit Fits: 1/3 scale doll (22-24 inches/60 cm).
Pattern It's Based On: One that's in Venus A. Dodge's book The Dolls' Dressmaker.
Outfit Description: The dress is made from a printed cotton St. Patrick's Day-themed fabric with lace trim around the sleeves and the bottom. The pinafore is made from a green cotton fabric. A pocket with a green shamrock-shaped button graces the bottom of the pinafore. The outfit comes with a choker-style charm necklace that was originally manufactured as a human bracelet. The outfit comes with a tiny plastic hat that I found at a local Michael's Arts & Crafts. (Believe it or not, that hat was actually marketed as a party favor for children and adults, even though that hat would've been too small for a lot of human heads.) The outfit also comes with a St. Patrick's Day-themed Eeyore bean bag that I purchased from a local Disney Store in February, 2005.
Date I Finished Work on It: February 3, 2005

This outfit is modeled in the photos by a Volks Dollfie Dream. Click on any photo below to see a larger version of the same photo open in a new window.
