Type of Doll This Outfit Fits: 1/3 scale doll (22-24 inches/60 cm).
Pattern It's Based On: Simplicity's Disney Princess Costumes for 18" Dolls Pattern 5705, Dress F (Tinkerbell). I was able to use the pattern without enlarging it for my Dollfie Dream because the pattern was originally designed for a stocky body doll (such as a Cabbage Patch Kid).
Outfit Description: The dress and panties were hand-sewn out of a green pattern cotton fabric that I purchased at a yard sale. The wings and wand were purchased for $1 each from Target. The wings—whose colors on the back alternate between pink and yellow depending on how the light hits the wing surface—attach to the dress with velcro while the wand attaches to the hand using an elastic handle that was glued to the wand. I also cut off some extra length at the end of the wand handle in order for the wand to be more in scale with the doll. The Tinkerbell necklace was originally a charm bracelet that I purchased at a local Five Below store.
Date I Finished Work on It: May 21, 2005
