This is a doll that I customized as a fundraiser for my Unitarian Universalist church. She was sold at my church's annual auction in November, 2005.
Type of Doll: Azone Doll Edit Kit Light—Slender Type (1/6 Slender Body Head 04, Brown Hair)
Size: 27 cm/11 inches
Head: 04
Body: 1/6 Slender Body
Hair Color: Brown
Eyes: Green eyes painted directly on the face using acrylic paint and a matte varnish.
Lips: Red lips painted directly on the face using acrylic paints and a matte varnish.
Blushing: Pink blush on the cheeks and brown blush on the eye lids (to suggest the use of brown eye shadow) using chalk pastels. The face was sprayed with Mr. Super Clear prior to blushing then was sprayed with Mr. Top Coat after blushing to seal the chalk pastels.
Outfit Description: The hat, necklace, purse, and skirt came from Barbie's Fashion Fever line, which I purchased from a local Target store. The shoes are a pair of Obitsu brown loafers that I purchased from The Junky Spot website. The t-shirt was hand-sewn from stretchy material leftover from a previous project (I originally purchased a cheap child's t-shirt that I cut up while making the New Orleans Jazz doll-sized t-shirts) using a pattern (from Venus A. Dodge's book The Dolls' Dressmaker) that was sized down in order to fit this doll. The t-shirt design was based upon clip art that was originally created by Sean Bolton. (The design is a variation of the flaming chalice, which is a symbol of the Unitarian Universalist faith.) The design was drawn directly on the t-shirt using fabric pens.
Date I Finished Customizing This Doll: November 3, 2005
