The Blue Lady

The Blue Lady is the first Asian-imported doll that I've ever customized. I originally nicknamed her the Blue Lady due to her big blue eyes and her blue dress with matching blue shoes. When I switched her body (due to the fact that her original body kept on having various body parts come off), I switched her outfit as well. Since her new outfit still has plenty of blue in it, the doll's name has still stuck.

Head: Volks Custom Hair Head A
Hair Color: Dark Blonde
Eyes: Blue eyes painted directly on the face using acrylic paint and a matte varnish.
Lips: Pink lips painted directly on the face using acrylic paints and a matte varnish.
Original Body: Volks EB Beauty A, which I eventually had to switch due to a broken arm joint that I couldn't repair as well as the fact that I grew tired of always having the body lose either a hand or a foot (which frequently came off).
New Body: Volks Elegant Collection S (Slender Body)
Original Outfit Description (which was made for the original body): Dress was hand-sewn out of cotton material that was based on Simplicity's Sewing Patterns for Dummies Pattern 5257, Dress A. I purchased blue Barbie shoes from a store. The necklace was hand-strung with beads that were purchased from a local art supply store.
New Outfit Description (which I bought especially for the new body): The dress was originally made for Barbie under the "Fashion Fever" label. It is an off-shoulder short dress that is black with a blue dot pattern. She wears a choker that has a white flower with blue highlights on the petals and a pair of black sandals. Both the choker and the sandals came with the outfit.
