Fall 2003 Prince George's Community College Art Show Logo Ad Campaign
In October, 2003 I was taking a Commerical Art class at Prince George's Community College in Largo, Maryland when I received this assignment: I had to design a logo and build a media campaign to raise awareness of the logo.
This is the logo I designed. Afterwards I designed this elaborate ad campaign as part of the class assignment that I later submitted to the Fall 2003 Student Art Show.
I had recently purchased a Kim Possible doll at that time and I came up with the idea of an "official doll" of the group that I was supposively designing the logo for. I took a doll outfit, customized it with the logo using a combination of a print-out t-shirt transfer and paint, and had Kim Possible model it. (In some ways, I could easily say that it was the first time I ever did any kind of doll customization.)
This is a mock ad I created. I also created a special water bottle with the logo (I basically printed the label then glued the label over the already existing label of the company that made the water bottle), featured a photo of a man with a logo tattoo (which was a Photoshop job), a photo of a man modeling a logo t-shirt (another Photoshop job, no t-shirts were ever actually made), and a Times Square billboard campaign (yet another Photoshop job).
My ad campaign was accepted into the show, which I was proud of. Here is what my display looked like at that show.
